Summary:  Recently widowed, and now reclusive, George Willis rescues a girl, Hope Stuart, from a flood and brings her back to health in his bush cabin. When the girl is well again he helps her back to the city and her family. While in the city George discovers that he has been accused of murder. However, as his accuser lies injured and dying his confession clears George's name. Now free George returns to his life in the bush to be joined later by Hope who has fallen in love with him.
